Marketing Assistant - Internship at National Lighting - London

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies.

As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and advertising team in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.

This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
  • Perform market analysis and research on competition
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)
  • Prepare promotional presentations
  • Help distribute marketing materials
  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Help organize marketing events

Requirements

  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords)
  • Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
  • Current enrollment in a related BS or Masters degree

Trade Counter Operative - Crawley Branch at National Lighting - London

The Role:

  • Proactively sell to both existing and new customers in order to meet and exceed sales and margin targets, and to continually work to build and develop the customer base at their branch
  • Flexible to carry out various roles and duties in the branch including Stores and Trade Counter Sales
  • To process orders from incoming goods to despatch
  • To handle customer queries
  • To contribute to the team in terms of sales action plans and customer development
  • Provide the highest possible levels of both service quality for our Customers, and performance for the Company
  • To keep minimum operational standards – to ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
  • To sell promoted products to customers

The Candidate:

  • Preferred experience of contracting and/or electrical products
  • Ideally, has at least 2 years “business to business” preferably in an electrical wholesale organisation
  • Has worked in a customer service environment
  • Has a good knowledge of the electrical industry, products,  competitors, suppliers etc.

Customer Success Advisor at National Lighting - London

At National Lighting we sell everything to do with lighting and electrical. No matter how unique someone’s project, budget or taste, we are there to provide home/ commercial design inspiration with quick delivery and great service.

Having taken the industry by storm over 25 years ago, we are now expanding our team to meet increasing customer demand with a customer success advisor to start asap.

Job Details:

• HRS 8:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday
• Competitive salary depending on experience > 19K to 25K

As Customer Advisor you will:

• Exceed customers’ expectations and keep our customer service standards maintained
• Handle inbound telephone calls, e-mails and online correspondence through Live Chat with customers 
• Support all aspects of the National Lighting journey from product queries, advice and aftersales care 
• Process customer returns and exchanges 
• Take ownership of any delivery issues, finding suitable solutions for everything that falls on your plate 
• Providing prompt, efficient and consistent information and communication in line with company policy 
• Liaise with couriers to ensure best service is maintained 
• Build a strong relationship with the product and marketing teams 

So who are we looking for?

Are you an awesome customer success advisor with a can-do attitude who can handle day to day challenges and offer creative solutions to customers looking for their customer furniture piece? A great team player? Confident to communicate with customers but also with our purchasing, product and marketing departments as their direct line of communications to customer feedback? • Perfect English spoken and written communication skills
• The ability to build a rapport with people quickly and effectively
• A professional and pro-active attitude with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service 
• Be able to problem solve quickly and take ownership comfortably
• Confident, resilient and assertive decision-making skills
• Great MS Office skills
• Ideally have Customer Service experience
• Experience in a B2B or trade counter environment or retail environment is a pro
